Marukome’s products are produced at hygienic and highly efficient factories certified by the international food safety standard ISO22000. Strict inspections are conducted on raw materials from the purchasing stage, and only select materials are used. The main raw materials soybeans and rice pass through advanced sorting machines to remove any foreign objects. Important processing conditions such as temperature and time are controlled and recorded for steaming, mixing and fermentation processes, in order to ensure consistent product quality. Contamination prevention measures according to Marukome’s own standards, such as filtration, metal detection, and X-ray imaging are taken for the product mixing and filling processes. These products are shipped only after passing another set of strict quality inspections. Machine operators receive vocational education several times a year as part of Marukome’s daily pursuit of better product quality.
